The National Center's Online Web Portal for Economic Development

NativeEDGE is a Native American Indian Business Development Web portal. The web portal works in conjunction with the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED).

The NativeEDGE web portal works to facilitate a sustainable economic development within American Indian and Alaska Native communities. NativeEDGE includes a telephone call center to be established, a publications clearinghouse, a host of resource links, and a procurement technical assistance with the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development. The web site links NCAIED, federal agencies, educational institutions, organizations, and other business and informational resources through a single web portal. The initiative is to provide a means for Native American Indian entrepreneurs, tribes, Native Americans, lending institutions, and private businesses a way to collaborate and promote economic growth.

Through this web site, you can search for specific resources for business development and other resources. You can browse through publications on economic development, catch up on what's new that affect Native businesses, procurement opportunities and other resources related to Native American Indians throughout the world.

NativeEDGE is a fully interactive web site with access to a user-friendly search engine. The site is designed to allow users to define their interests and the type of assistance they are seeking by registering with an online form.

Registered users will then be able to search federal and non-federal informational resources. Once registered with the site, and you have been verified as Native American Business, an NCAIED program specialist is assigned as a consultant who will be your main contact throughout your business development process. The Consultant will be your main contact for all follow-up and assistance. This relationship is maintained as long as the user requests assistance from NativeEDGE.

NativeEDGE uses a broad definition of economic development that encompasses business development, employment, education, business development, financial resources, economic planning and procurement opportunities.
